When a woman entered a gas station begging for help, one clerk didn’t ignore her pleas. The woman claimed she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted but convinced her kidnappers to stop at the gas station so she could use the restroom. The cashier, identified as 24-year-old Savannah Pritchett, sprang into action.

The incident took place at Triple R Gas and Mart in California and was captured on video by the store’s surveillance system.
A woman entered the gas station at approximately 3:00pm on Wednesday and asked Pritchett for help escaping her kidnappers.
“The first thing she did tell me was, ‘I was kidnapped, and they do have guns. Please, lock the door, they will kill us, or kill me,’” said Pritchett during an interview with KCRA.
The woman said she was kidnapped the night before in Fresno and sexually assaulted overnight.
Pritchett handed her cell phone to the woman and instructed her to lock herself into the bathroom and dial 911.
Two of the four suspects can be seen outside of the gas station attempting to get in. Pritchett unlocks the door and informs them that the woman is using the bathroom.
The suspects enter the store and begin searching for the woman.
A short time later, deputies arrived on the scene with their guns drawn, rushing into the store, and confronting the suspects.
Anthony Sandoval, 18, and two 16-year-old suspects were taken into custody. During a search, a gun was found in the suspects’ vehicle and a second firearm was discovered in the gas station.
A fourth suspect, who was not at the gas station at the time of the incident, is still being sought.
“[Pritchett] being able to get this victim into a secured restroom with a phone and being able to contact law enforcement very well may have saved her life,” said Sgt. Tom Letras of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.
“The one thing that keeps replaying in my head, if I wouldn’t have believed her, what would have happened to her?” Pritchett stated.
