Initially, father-to-be Christopher Ojeda had a lot to celebrate on Sunday. Not only was it Father’s Day, but it was also a gender reveal party for his second child. Ojeda stepped up, wearing flip-flops and carrying a beer, prepared to kick a ball filled with either blue or pink dust. But things didn’t entirely go to plan.

Ojeda, who already has a 3-year-old daughter, was about to learn the gender of his second child. He pulled his foot back, preparing to punt the ball to reveal either blue or pink dust, and executed a big kick.
As his foot contacted the ball, a big cloud of pink dust exploded out, letting everyone know that the new baby was a girl. But, as he stepped back, things went wrong.
Ojeda ended up with a broken ankle after the kick, but he initially didn’t notice the pain, according to a report by the Daily Mail. He admitted that he was really hoping for a boy, and that distracted him from the discomfort.
As the moment sunk in, the pain became apparent, and Ojeda made a trip to the hospital. He is now waiting to see if the injury requires surgery.
In a Facebook post, Ojeda stated, “So only I would kick a football to reveal I’m having another girl but in the process also rolled the f*** out of my ankle.”
It appears the child may have already been born, as Ojeda added, “Welcome to the world ladies and gents Cameron Maria Ojeda!”
