Far-left socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said on Monday that the Democratic Party is a “center or center-conservative party” and that there is no “left party” in the United States.

AOC was speaking at an event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when she slammed the Democratic Party for not being far enough to the left.

“We don’t have a left party in the United States. The Democratic Party is not a left party,” proclaimed AOC, to which the far-left audience members applauded and cheered. “The Democratic Party is a center or center-conservative party.”

Ocasio-Cortez continued, “We can’t even get a floor vote on Medicare-for-all. Not even a floor vote that gets voted down. We can’t even get a vote on it. So this is not a left party. There are left members inside the Democratic Party that are working to try to make that shift happen.”

AOC went on to attack the over 22,000 patriots who peacefully protested for their Second Amendment gun rights at the Virginia state capitol on Monday, saying they were “flying Confederate flags with semi-automatic weapons.”
